Can someone recommend a good centos book for someone who haven't used CentOS (or any Linux based) OS before?
I know about the "Definitive Guide to CentOS" but reviews are not that great...
thanks!

Look at RHEL 6 books.
Unless you're studying for RHCE (or RHCSA) cert's best avoid them since they have a very narrow focus (i.e. getting you to pass the tests).
Something like....

Re: CentOS book for beginners
As a noob myself, I would say avoid the CentOS Bible like the plague.
It's based on CentOS 5 and there has been nothing in in it that has really helped me at all. So much of it is just not applicable and too much basic useful info is just not in it.
The Linux Networking Cookbook has been quite good, but has a load of stuff that i'll never use.
Most of the info that has been of use, i've found online. Here, or Googled.
I'll get a Linux commands book of some sort, but like you, i'd like to know of any good books too.
