problem with opening the OS
I installed CentOS 6.5 in my Window 8.1. It showed installation complete. But when i rebooted, it is going directly to Windows. not even showing option to open centOS

It's probably the grub configuration - not sure what happened during install though.
You could boot of the CD/DVD into rescue mode and correct the grub entry.

You don't say, is it UEFI or BIOS boot? For UEFI have a look at https://access.redhat.com/documentation ... -uefi.html
