Hi Guys,
I have an issue in my Ec2 instance, i have launched an instance with Centos6 8GB volume space. Which is default volume size.
My volume capacity is 100GB in EC2 instance, so extended by using the "resize2fs /dev/xvdf1".. It's successfully extended up to 100 GB.
Problem is, i just took snapshot of that volume, and created new AMI image file. then i have launched new instance belongs to that new AMI file with default 8 GB.
The second instance volume capacity 200 GB, now i need to bump up to maximum size 200 GB.
So i have tried to extend file system by using the same command "resize2fs /dev/xvda1", but could not... It's showing the following output.
example:
[root@ip-172-31-33-123 ~]# resize2fs /dev/xvdf1
resize2fs 1.41.12 (17-May-2010)
The filesystem is already 2096896 blocks long. Nothing to do!
But it's showing 8Gb only, not as 200 GB
Thanks
