Server automation

Post by logtech » 2015/10/08 02:37:33

Dear Experts,

I am new to Linux world and learning as quick as possible. Having 10 Centos 6 servers is not a big deal, but what about if you have 100. How do You automate them? Like chnage password every 3 months, push yum updates, etc....

I noticed somewhere someone mentioned about puppet. What would you propose?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would suggest to take a look at Puppet or Ansible. I would prefer Ansible to begin with.

thank you experts, I will try with spacewalk then with Ansible, since both looks decent. Thank You again.
