Re: device manager not installed
It appears that hwbrowser is not available for CentOS 6.
[ken@vmCentOS6-64 Desktop]$ yum whatprovides hwbrowser
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, priorities, refresh-packagekit
base | 3.7 kB 00:00
epel/metalink | 13 kB 00:00
extras | 951 B 00:00
rpmforge | 1.1 kB 00:00
rpmforge 3946/3946 updates | 3.5 kB 00:00
967 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Warning: 3.0.x versions of yum would erroneously match against filenames.
You can use "*/hwbrowser" and/or "*bin/hwbrowser" to get that behaviour
No Matches found
This site also shows that hwbrowser is not available past CentOS 5.6.
So it looks like there is not an EASY solution. Perhaps an SRPM could be converted to CentOS 6 and installed but that is beyond my expertise and comfort level at the moment.
