LOG sshd

Post by Blisk » 2011/10/23 20:03:23

I have log full of
sshd[18316]: Connection closed by 127.0.0.1

this is caused because of Monit. How can I disable to log this, because it makes my log unusable for other things.

Did you install from RPMforge, EPEL, or tarball? Sounds like a question for Monit.

I think it is from rpm forge.
But all I need is to stop logging this.

Look at the LogLevel parameter in `man sshd_config`. It defaults to INFO so you would need to turn it down to ERROR or one of the other categories that log less. However, what messages you would then miss that you might want to see is another matter.
