[RESOLVED] How to configure Samba using a graphical interface in rhel 6?

hey guys, sorry to revive an old thread but i've been trying to solve this issue for the past 3-4 hours! I'm about to go insane! any help would be much appreciated :)

I've been trying to get system-config-samba working on my centos 6.2 machine, no luck so far keep getting errors, the closest i got was this last guide here, but this is the errors i get.

Works fine here. Check your rebuild process.

Well i did the process twice without any luck, same errs!

From the exception trace saying "section homes is already defined" I would guess that your existing /etc/samba/smb.conf has two sections in it that start with [homes] and it doesn't like it and cannot handle it. Manually edit it and remove one of them (or comment it). Back up the existing file first.

That was very true! This was the case and now samba gui is working.
