FF & Shockwave Flash - situation?

Post by SirLurkalot » 2014/04/20 18:22:30

Hi

I've looked for info about this but found nothing
It's been stuck at Version 11.2 now that Adobe aren't going to develop it for FF.
Is this a satisfactory state of affairs or is it time to utilise another browser?
Perhaps there's something better?
Could someone please just give me an update on the current situation?

Cheers

Adobe announced some time ago that they were putting flash for Linux into 'security fix only' mode. That's still the situation as far as I know. It's as safe as it's even been as long as you keep it updated...
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
