Display problem after upgrading from 6.2 to 6.5

Hi,

I just upgraded from 6.2 to 6.5 using yum update. It complained about a few errors (see bottom) so I used --skip-broken to work around it. It went ok and most stuff worked fine. However, I soon found problem with the display. As in the attached, it just shows lines. I unplugged it from the video adapter connector and re-plugged it. It worked for about a day and went into just showing lines when I logged out. When it reboots, all the display appears to be normal until the point of the log-in prompt.

I am not that experience with this. First thing came to mind is whether I need a new driver. lspci shows it's a Quadro FX 4600 (rev a2). Then I downloaded nvidia driver and tried to install it. But I got the following error, suggesting the OS is using a different driver.

Could anyone help on how to troubleshoot this?

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
