iphone not reading by my Centos 6.6

I just installed Centos 6.6 and its running great. I like it. But I am trying to download photos from my iphone, there is no app that does it. How do I download photos from iphone? Please help. I tried several methods, nothing worked. Is there an app I need to download for this? Anyone who has idea please suggest me. Thank you.
