I'm sure that can be problematic, unfortunately for beginners such as myself a visual interface with semi-automated functions such as creation of mail accounts is far easier, that is of course till we run into problems such as the one I did.
Running a webserver from a terminal interface is like a dark art to us !

Beginners running control panels get to go to the control panel supplier for support.
People using the CentOS supplied software and interfaces get to come here for support.

By not telling us up front that you are using a control panel.
Re: postfix permissions error since installing spamassassin
Is that a forum requirement or just your elitist bug bear ? I seem to recall reading another thread where you were equally hostile and told a new user to go elsewhere...
If you are unwilling or unable to help why get involved ?

Re: postfix permissions error since installing spamassassin
We do not support any control panels here. Almost without exception they compile packages from source and exclude half the CentOS packaged software. Any advice we might give that would fix a CentOS system might break the same thing on a system with a control panel on it. In general you pay for the control panel so you might as well make use of the support that comes with it.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
