Kernal panic after resent update
After i did the great update de computer didn't restart, but may error massages appear. Didn't see the bootmenu from grub.
The processor is an pentium 4.

I did a new update and this kernel is also faulty.

I have the same problem in my t60 thinkpad laptop. It has intel gpu.
Preveous kernel it is working.

Do you have nomodeset specified on the kernel command line? If so then does it boot if you remove that keyword?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Thanks TrevorH, half success. without nomodeset it boots, but x fail. (pretty boot animation ) This is the log:
glxinfo says i have hardware rendering with 2.6.32-504.30.3.el6.i686. With this kernel everything right.

Do you have xorg-x11-drv-intel installed? Your log seems to show it trying to use the vesa driver and this would be slow and rather horrible.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
