Hi
I am using Centos 6.7 on a HP Proliant ML150 G6 server.
Recently I had a hardfware problem caused by one disk in the disk array.
When I tried to use the CentOS-6.7-x86_64-netinstall rescue dvd I could not select anything at boot.
No response to the keyboard at all.
I have tried with the original HP keyboard and a USB keyboard as well.
The same thing happens during a normal boot.
I cannot type "e" etc at the grub menu.
No keys work.
This is annoying because all you can do when you get stuck is reinstall everything.
I have Googled a lot but I cannot find any reference to this problem.
Many thanks
Johan
Grub loader - unable to type anything
Re: Grub loader - unable to type anything
Perhaps enabling some sort of a "legacy USB" option in BIOS might help?
Based on specs I found somewhere, ML150 G6 should have a PS/2 keyboard port as well. Does this problem occur with a PS/2 keyboard as well? If you have tested with a PS/2 keyboard, have you accidentally plugged it in to the mouse PS/2 port? (not that I would have ever done anything like that..)
