Cent OS 6.7 does not detect raid 1
Cent OS 6.7 does not detect raid 1
I have a Dell server .
Two of the HDD got bad and needed replacement . So I got two new HDD, and created a new raid drive. The serve had 5 drives all on raid 5, now I have replaced the two new drive and I created raid 1 on the two new HDD.
I want to install the Cent OS 6.7 on the Raid 1 . But it doesn't display the Raid 1 Drive during installation all I see is the Raid 5.
Please help me out.
I have initialize the drive still the same thing. What do I do

Re: CentOS 6.2 does not detect my HDD Drive Array
CentOS 6.2 is ancient (and full of vulnerabilities.) Try the current version 6.7 instead.
Re: CentOS 6.2 does not detect my HDD Drive Array
New hardware support is added with each point release and 6.2 is from December 2011 so any hardware released in the last 5 years will be unsupported. As also pointed out, 6.2 has not received any security updates since 2011 so it is riddled with security bugs and highly insecure and should not be used.
Retry with 6.7 and report back.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: CentOS 6.2 does not detect my HDD Drive Array
Google seems to think this is an error from the windows boot loader - are you sure you're booting from the correct media?

What is the exact error you receive? Don't summarise or approximate, use the exact wording you see on the screen.
