cpu usage

At a guess, that looks like you've been compromised and, if confirmed, since that process is running as root, it's time to back up all your data and reinstall.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Yes, I saw it the first time. It looks like you've been hacked and that's a process with a random name, running as root, doing whatever your hacker wants it to do.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

read about
- system hardering (firewall, configure selinux, good passwords)
- services hardering (secure configuration for every service that you runnning on server)

You can not uncompromised your server. You must copy your data and reinstall server and config services.

Next time, after install server, just implement security good practices.
