We wanna update Centos 6.8 packages that some bugs were fixed to 6.7, what kind of compatibility problem would it have ?

We do not test cherry picking updates.

In any case, both 6.7 and 6.8 are out of date, unsupported and have high severity security vulnerabilities that are not fixed until 6.9. You should yum update your entire system to get to 6.9 ASAP.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Hi,

really there is no such thing as "6.7" or "6.8" in reality, like packages don't really have the concept of "centos version" (unless you see the final 6_8, otherwise you'll normally see 6 or whatever version they were from)

I mean if you go inside the vault and look up the version of the package you want, and as trevor said "cherry pick" that one [as in you arbitrarily choose that one cause you need that one for some reason] and with that link

yum install http://blahblah/that.rpm

you'll be doing what you want.

although unless you know what you're doing, you're really just installing an older version of a package for which there's a new version sitting there for you to just do

yum install thatpackage

so while in theory it "could work" it is not supported by CentOS (because you're straying from what they say and test as stable)

So what differences are the kernel between Centos 6.8 and Centos 6.7 ?

And 6.8 is still out of date and unsupported. 6.9 is current and the only version that gets updates.
