Dear Mr,

My client's computer failed to boot with log "unexpected inconsistency; run fsck manually",but my client is not familar with linux ,he forgot root's password and cannot enter Single User Mode.
The only way I know is boot by livecd iso,but i can't find CentOS6.6livecd version, may I use Centos6.5livecd or Centos6.7livecd etc. to boot and fsck the harddriver?

Or is there some other convenience way to fix this situation ?

Really need your help。
thanks very much.

Using 6.9 should be fine. If you don't already have it then grabbing the 6.9 minimal iso and using the "rescue" option off the initial "Troubleshooting" menu will be the smallest download but if you already have the live media then that should work too.
