Post by nihar_deb » 2017/10/29 10:45:44

We are using CentOS release 6.4 (Final). Observing frequent crash in system. Attached kdump logs for reference. Please help with the reason of crash.

Please let me know if further details needed.

6.4 is out of date (from March 2013), out of support and riddled with security exposures. Current version is 6.9. Update with yum update and see what happens.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

IMHO, if your system is crashing frequently, your hardware is toast.

I had the same problem. Even dmesg did not show anything. Solution = change RAM, since it was 6 years old machine and app. once per month it just rebooted...
