cpu host and virt-install

Postby nexgardvietnam » 2018/05/10 03:22:09

Hello everyone, I'm running CentOS 6 and have a CentOS vm scripted to install via kickstart and virt-install. This version of virt-install doesn't recognize "--cpu host" and I want to stay with the command line for scripting so no virtual-manager. I am not interested in migration so would like to use the full capabilities of the cpu. I have seen a suggestion to pass an argument to qemu when it starts, but I'm not sure how to do this ...But I don't know what is the best way to achieve this.

The man page for virt-install on CentOS 6 says that --cpu host is allowed.
CentOS 5 died in March 2017 - migrate NOW!
