Shared LUN permission change in 2-node Cluster

Post by prateekporwal » 2018/05/16 05:29:42

Hi Team,

I have created 2-node cluster (RHEL 6 Cluster) for MySQL and Tomcat with shared storage(LUN) for both. A strange thing happened when mount/unmount has been done on the nodes in the cluster. Permission of MySQL shared LUN changes to tomcat from mysql. Each time when it mount on the other node in the cluster, its permission changes. Every time I need to manually change the ownership to mysql.

Kindly suggest what I can check. Anyone has face this problem ?

Thanks,
Prateek

Sounds like your usernames do not have identical uids between the two systems.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
