How to install CentOS 6.10 on VirutalBox 5.2.16
Re: How to install CentOS 6.10 on VirutalBox 5.2.16
Did you check the sha256sum of the iso image you downloaded against the list published in the 6.10 release notes? https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.10
I presume this happens during the initial boot from the iso image? I just downloaded it and fired it up under virtualbox and got through to the first set of language selection screens etc.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

It does happen during the initial boot. My image is golden as the sha256sum of my ISO is the same as the one in release notes. Does it has something to do with the settings of the VirtualBox?TrevorH wrote: ↑2018/07/29 10:39:12Did you check the sha256sum of the iso image you downloaded against the list published in the 6.10 release notes? https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.10

Check if your processor has virtualization extensions and if they are enabled in the BIOS. On a linux host, check for either vmx (Intel) or svm (AMD) in /proc/cpuinfo in the flags line.
