Xen install in VM VirtualBox

Post by den.duez » 2014/03/10 15:50:59

Hey there,
I installed CentOS 6.5 on VM VirtualBox 4.3.8 and so far so good.
after i configured the network and changed the hostname i tried to install xen on this CentOS 6.5 minimal install:

Code: Select all

yum install http://fedora.cu.be/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
yum install centos-release-xen
yum install xen
/usr/bin/grub-bootxen.sh
reboot
this works until the reboot.
in the reboot progress this happens:
see attachment
after this the whole process of booting restarts.
Can anyone help me with this???
Thank you

VirtualBox does not support nested virtualisation so you can't do this.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

So how come when I give the VirtualMachine (CentOS) more than 1Gig of ram it does start up?
This is my configuration now for VM VirtualBox which works (for now)
