Wordpress plugins issue

I just setup a web sever using centos 6.5. I am running wordpress and everything is working well accept I am unable to search for any new plugins.

When I search for a new plugin I get this error. "An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums." I know its something wrong with this server because I have another server hosted by godaddy and I am able to search and install plugins.

This is the first web server I have ever built . Any help would be awesome thanks in advance.
