WindowBuilder in Eclipse broken in Centos 6.6

Post by nskalski » 2015/01/21 16:27:54

Hello all,

I am linking to the WindowBuilder posts for this issue on the Eclipse Community Forums:

https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/847071/
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/905794/

As you can see, half a dozen people, or more, have seen this issue. Before i submit a bug, please read the links and the quick description of the problem below.

I am running Eclipse Luna, fully updated. On Centos 6.5 everything was working fine. After the update to Centos 6.6 WindowBuilder stopped working; it does not display the palette/preview in the Windowbuilder view. It has been broken since then. WindowBuilder uses off screen rendering and the Centos 6.6 update broke/disabled that? (That is a possible guess as to the issue.) If anyone knows a fix before i submit a Centos Bug, please post it.

Thanks!

Well i gave up, going to switch away from Centos. Nobody cares, it's seems it's a won't fix.

CentOS does not fix bugs.
You need to file a bug report on RHEL's bugzilla.
When RHEL fixes the problem it will make its way to CentOS.
