Graphs are not going/exceeding above 100 MB

Post by imran_khan » 2015/03/16 19:32:03

Hello,

My dell switch Cacti graphs are not going/exceeding above 100 MB. Above 100 MB bandwidth utilization is not showing in graph. I am using SNMP version 2 and 64 bit counters and dell switch is supporting 64-Bit counters.

[root@localhost ~]# snmpget -v2c -c community swtich1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.1
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.1 = Counter64: 69726015104

[root@localhost ~]# snmpget -v2c -c community swtich1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10.1
IF-MIB::ifHCOutOctets.1 = Counter64: 85610972761533

Please suggest me on the same.

Thanks,
Imran Khan.

This is a FAQ on the cacti website. I don't remember details about how to fix it but it's because you set the graph up with an upper limit and that limit is written into the rrd file so you have to use rrdtool to edit it to change it. Or delete the rrd and change the limit from the GUI (best to use a value of U so show no limit) and then the poller will recreate the rrd file with the correct limits inside it.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
