Hello. I tried to install utorrent in my centOS and followed this instruction:
http://www.ezylinux.com/en/how-to-insta ... -centos-6/
But then, i got some errors so I followed this:
http://www.howopensource.com/2011/08/ut ... -8-solved/
When i tried to open it on my browser like this:
localhost:8080/gui/
it says:
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
What should I do?
Thank you.
Cannot use utorrent in centOS 6
Re: Cannot use utorrent in centOS 6
See if it is an SELinux issue. You can test this following the wiki guide at
https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/SELinux# ... 33505dd3af
Which goes through checking the logs to see if it's SELinux blocking access.
It might also be a firewall issue.
These are just guesses though. See if there's anything helpful in the logs at /var/log/httpd/

Is there a better alternative to utorrect?
Re: Cannot use utorrent in centOS 6
For example: Deluge, kTorrent, Transmission
