Nvidia driver and external monitor

Hi All,

I was trying to connect my external monitor to my laptop. so have installed the nvidia driver yum install -y nvidia-x11-drv-173xx-32bit.x86_64 and then run the Applications -> System Tools -> Nvidia X server settings but got an error about the server so restarted the whole system and couldnt start it again it hanged after the logo screen but managed to remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf and now can run centOS. Then I uninstalled the nvidia driver and 3D is not supported :-( cant run compiz

could you help me put please??

one more thing the graphic card is Nvidia Quadro 2000M.

More definitive information will be provided by "lspci -nn", or better yet [url=http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=28723&forum=54]provide more information about your system[/url] by running "./getinfo.sh" and showing us the output file.
