num-pad doesn't work in tightvnc-session

Hi there dear groupmembers,

I have a problem with my connection to a tightvnc-server on a regular centos 6.3 server: everything works fine except the numpad on my keyboard. I simply can't type any numbers with it, neither can I activate it by the num-key.

Do you have any ideas where to look for mistakes in configfiles or any other hints?
