Don't use 6.5, it's old, unmaintained and riddled with security bugs. Run yum update and get yourself to 6.8 ASAP. 6.9 is already released upstream and CentOS 6.9 will be out soon. You'll need to yum update to get to that too once it's released.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
