Running CentOS 6.8 x86_64 on a custom machine with:
Intel Core I7-5820 (liquid cooled)
64 GB RAM
2 - 120 GB PNY SSD (running RAID1)
2 - 4 TB Western Digital Black hard drives
nVidia Geforce 710 video card
When I went to the machine this morning it was powered down. I powered it up and saw a message stating that a program gam_server had crashed and it was a part of the gamin-0.1.10-9.el6 package. The message stated to run:
abrt-cli report /var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2017-03-25-00:50:05-5561
I did and I see all types of information that is above my head.
It wants to send a abend report to Red Hat, but I don't have access to the Red Hat Customer Portal
What should I do?
TIA
Gene
Received abrt-cli Report On gam_server
Re: Received abrt-cli Report On gam_server
If you use abrt on CentOS then the reports don't go to RH anyway, they get sent to bugs.centos.org where I'm fairly sure that no-one ever looks at them.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Re: Received abrt-cli Report On gam_server
OK then is it possible I might find something in that information that would help me find a solution to the issue?
Not long after I rebooted the machine I got another issue where a message was displayed stating that pulseaudio have created a soft lock on CPU#3 for 67 seconds?? I don't need the sound so how do I turn it off?
Have these types of isues been resolved on CentOS &?
TIA
