Uniform look for GTK2 apps under KDE

Post by palacs » 2017/05/05 09:04:08

Installed Xfce 4 using yum install epel-release and yum groupinstall Xfce. Under Xfce I can select GTK2 Theme using Applicatons Menu -> Settings -> Appearance. It will load in all GTK2 applicatoins.

However, under KDE it switches back to Cleanlooks (regardless of the Xfce setting). I would like to have the same look on GTK2 applications that I have on KDE applications. I installed oxygen-gtk from the EPEL repository, however I find no setting for configuring the GTK2 theme. Generally you can access this setting under System Settings / Application Appearance / GTK+ Appearance but there is no such setting in KDE on CentOS 6.

How can I configure the GTK2 subsystem to have the oxygen-gtk theme?

Where is the settings dialog for the appearance of GTK+ applications in KDE in CentOS 6? As far as I remember, it is available since KDE3. CentOS 6 has KDE 4.3.
