Raid 10, inactive blocks...

Post by jnholmes » 2017/09/20 16:07:09

I would just like to make sure that my centOS 6.8 server raid10 array is ok.
The printout is:
#cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid10]
md126 : active raid10 sda[3] sdb[2] sdc[1] sdd[0]
1465144320 blocks super external:/md0/0 64K chunks 2 near-copies [4/4] [UUUU]

md0 : inactive sdd[3](S) sdb[2](S) sdc[1](S) sda[0](S)
9168 blocks super external:imsm

unused devices: <none>

What concerns me is the inactive "blocks". All examples I could find on mdadm page don't have inactive blocks. Is this a concern or are spare blocks part of how raid 10 operates?
