Evolution and default keyring

Post by aussie » 2019/06/26 05:12:30

I'm trying to setup evolution email. I entered my emails and asked for it to remember my password. It prompts for the email password followed by prompting for the default keyring password. I tried the login password and the su password, but it won't accept it. I tried seahorse and I see "login", but no "default keyring". Can anybody help me?

By chance, is the user setup to "auto-login"? While very convenient, auto-login causes issues with the keyring on my girl-friends machine.

Thanks for your reply lightman47. I don't have "auto-login". I read that suspend may also cause a problem, so I booted the machine and tried evolution again. Same problem. I don't know what the default keyring password could be, since it will not accept the login password or the su password and I never entered a password in the first place.
