Got a locely handme down from my old uni
The university I used to go to has recently gotten rid of some of the old equipment again and I was able to snag a lovely server a HP G6 with dual x5650's my issue is I am going to want to use the 410i raid controller and I am partially terrified about the compatibility (I've always treated raid cards with a fair bit of black magic superstition). I'm aware as it's pretty old it's probably already been supported but is there anything I need to look out for?

A G6 with a P410 RAID controller should be fine with either CentOS 6 or 7.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
