Upgrading graphics card

Post by eddiener » 2016/02/12 03:34:19

I am planning on upgrading my graphics card for an existing installation. The upgrade will retain the card type, AMD Radeon, but will upgrade from a no longer supported HD series to a supported one. Will CentOS 6.7 automatically pick up the new graphics card in an existing system, or do I have to re-install the OS again ?

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
