Hi
I am trying to get centos 6.7 to recognise the printer connected via usb (the socket is fine, the printer is recognised by Windows machines). Trying to use system - admin - printing (had to install printing, that went okay I think). But when went to system - admin - printing dialog box doesn't recognise printer (printer is switched on of course). Also New button is greyed on dialog box, and on Server - New choice of printer/class both greyed out. Help troubleshoot says my cups spooler is not running. Used yum to install cups, which seemed to go okay though may be there are other things to install, don't know. New to Linux. Can you help please - initially with cups? Thanks a lot
