watch dog detected hard lockup on cpu 10 Kernel panic - not syncing:hard lockup

Post by nfpczhangwei » 2017/12/12 12:40:53

Dear All,
I am using Centos 6.9 (two Xeon E5-2699 V4 cpu (44 cores),128GB DDR4 RAM 1TB hardisk) to perform my parallel materials calculations (using Ifort 2015 mkl 2015 ). These days the system is often down and all the usb hubs don not have voltages. Attached files (no.1) are the error messages when the system is down (watch dog detected hard lockup on cpu 10 Kernel panic - not syncing:hard lockup ) . Besides I also attachtd (no.2) the warning when I installed the centos 6.9. I even use the 7.1 version, the system is also down when I lock the x window.

Thanks.

kernel-2.6.32-696.16.1.el6 is the current one and there is a list of changes about a page long for it so it's worth a try.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
