after installing CUDA drivers, console goes blank, Centos 6.10

Having the same problem as https://centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=58116, so I ran

First question: Why do you need an X server for the Nvidia card when there is no monitor connected to it?

There is a monitor connected to it, via the VGA.

When I try connecting via the NVIDIA DisplayPort, same thing, blank screen.

More questions:

Why are you configuring four separate X screens? Do you want to attach four monitors? Try without option --separate-x-screens.

How did you install the driver?

What kind of setup are you aiming for? Your board is a server board with a BMC chip.

Just to allow a desktop GUI or even any terminal from the console, it's the head node of our Rocks cluster. Note again, that ssh at least works.

The general recommendation in this forum is to not use the installer from nvidia but the packaged version of nvidia's driver from elrepo. It usually just works, while what you have put together still doesn't (at least you haven't reported success). So I suggest you uninstall what nvidia's installer did (the installer has an uninstall option) and then switch to the elrepo rpm package.

It might be necessary to add

BusID "PCI:3:0:0"

to the the xorg.conf that comes with the package, because you have a second GPU.

For cuda you can use nvidia's cuda installer. But you should skip the installation of the X driver contained therein.

You need to reboot after installation. You need to connect a monitor to the nvidia card. And wether you call that g200 a built-in vga card or a gpu doesn't really matter. Start with a minimal xorg.conf like

And the existing xorg you posted has the wrong pci id in it for the mga driver. The mga card is on 01:04.0 not 03:00.0.
CentOS 5 died in March 2017 - migrate NOW!
CentOS 6 goes EOL sooner rather than later, get upgrading!
