Can't access any http services when SSL cert installed

Post by buzz9 » 2014/04/19 13:27:10

Hello All,

I have a CA key installed on my server and it works great with all my services that use it, but ran into trouble when trying to setup a icecast server over http. When I try to access the icecast server over the internet, the URL changes to https then fails to connect. I am not attempting to access icecast though https or use any ssl with the icecast server.

1) I can access and stream from local network.

2) icecast server is in a Ubuntu virtual machine running on a CentOS host which has the CA installed.

3) "bridge adapter" setting is selected within the virtualbox machine settings. Through the router the vm has a static ip and port is opened to icecast server ip and port number.

I've had this configuration working in a almost similar situation except no CA installed and a xp guest, and had no issues at all so I'm confident with the icecast server setup. I feel like there's some ssl redirect configured on the host but don't see how that should affect the guest if it has it's own separate IP address from its host.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks :D
