Release 6.6 Final
Kernel 2.6.32-504.23.4.el6.x86_64
This particular machine will, for no apparent reason (i.e. I can't see any trouble in the logs), no longer see the network. Performing a 'service network restart' MIGHT solve the problem, but performing a reboot ALWAYS works. No logs about the problem is disconcerting as I expect things in *NIX to fail loudly, not silently and with no hint of troubles past.
I'll keep digging for info, but if anyone out there can suggest a strategy to trap the problem it sure would keep me from losing fistfulls of hair.
[Moved from CentOS 5 - General Support to CentOS 6 - Networking Support]
Network randomly hangs... no logs.

Post the output of lspci -nn | grep -i net
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
