Network issue
Network issue
Hello im new to linux.
I have issue, i installed 6.7 LiveDVD and i got my network to work...on virutalbox. Network 1 Adapter was set to :host only While network 2 was set on Bridge.
I was able to see my network IP.
As soon restarted centos...i lost connection, 2 pc where eth1 and eth2 are shown one shows 10.0.5.15 and other shows my IP 192.168.52.102
Gateway shows 192.168.52.255, i did search but i can't seems to find the right topic.
If anyone can help me, i would be appreciated

Re: Network issue
Why do you have two network adapters? Remove one and make sure the other is in Bridge mode.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Network issue
Network still unreachable
ifconfig shows:
eth1: link encap: Ethernet: HW: xx:xx:xx :27:65:C2:B0
inet6 addr: fe80:a00:27ff Fe56:xxx/xx scope:link
And all other stuff
other is Local
127.0.0.1
when i had Host-only and nat or host only and bridged it would show IP
192.168.52.101
I could ping this from host and i would get 1ms

Re: Network issue
Show the contents of the ifcfg file for the interface.

Re: Network issue
No, that's the output of ifconfig. I want to see the contents of the configuration file ifcfg.eth1 in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts to see what it says.

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1: Permission denied.

Re: Network issue
You cannot execute it. I want to see its *contents* so you need to edit it using your favorite editor and cut and paste the contents of the file into a post on the forum.
