Alfa Wifi USB Adapter

Post by maxizees » 2016/06/11 17:44:41

Dear All,

im very new to Centos and just installed Centos 7, during installation i was using Alfa USB wifi adapter AWUS036H and even i was connected with my home wifi network,

After installation completed i switched Wifi adapter port from front panel USB to back panel USB on computer and since than it stopped working,

Please advise on installation steps;;

im very new so bear my less knowledge with senseless questions ;-)

This is not problem with OS, but with your usb port. Sometime in old motherboard provide voltage below specification.

So, check other back USB port in your computer.

Thanks MGHE for reply,,

seems its not port issue because now even if i connect usb wifi adapter to old port where it was working, it dont work, and i have noticed in logs ,, when i connect usb adapter it shows there but says no support for device and i feel its not able to find drivers,

im exploring to find steps how to install drivers in Centos as im new born in Centos but started to liking the OS,,
