Hi,

I am not expert in linux world. so hope you can help me fix this problem.

This has happened several times. Suddenly i couldnt open the website. I couldn't connect ssh using PuTTy, and couldnt open webmin.
I tried to ping (ping 199.168.98.130 -c 5) and get:

Code: Select all

5 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 13999ms
I am not sure whether the server hang or it's a network problem. But everytime this happpens, nothing i could do to get into the server except i must login to my webhosting management panel to reboot it from there and then the website goes live and i can login through ssh.

After reboot, here are some logs:
dmesg and '/var/log/messages' are in the next comment.

Re: frequently network down, can't ping to ip addres, and can't connect to ssh, webmin, and website

Ok, looks like It's hard to fix this.

Probably it's relating to kernel or network driver as I ever had the same problem with other servers and submitted a ticket to the webhhost provider, and their staff said :
I believe its related to the network driver so I have made a change to the kernel which I believe should fix this.
But after that, the server still hang / got disconnected to the internet. Finally, I decided to cancel the server.

But i hope there is someone in this forum that can help fix this problem.
