Hi
We have two different set of server's in our cluster, One system is a supermicro (SGI) rackable and the other a Dell R720 that are
dropping network on us, I checked the switches they are on and the ports are good no errdisabled. They will be running production and just lose
network. An I can not get the network back. Both are running Centos 6.3, The network connections are showing up with ethtool eth0 and ethtool em1 but we have no connection. Is this a driver issue?
Thanks
Pete

Re: network showing up on Centos 6.3 server - but no connectivity
You have not given any useful information.
The current supported version is 6.9.
You are missing many years of security updates and bug fixes.
You need to update immediately.
If you can't update over the network, download the current 6.9 ISO and update from DVD.

So you have two servers with different hardware that are both in the same network. The network keeps dropping on both servers, yet you don't think that the problem exists somewhere other than your two different servers?
Really?
Really?

CentOS 6.3 is old enough to be attending first school. It's absolutely riddled with high severity security bugs and should not be used. It was released 5 *years ago* today.
yum update
yum update
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
