Desktop Panel Network Connection ICON

Can someone please help me with adding the correct network connection ICON that goes in the panel section of the desktop. I had one there that allowed me to select eth0 so that I had an internet connection. It is gone now. Thanks!

Is the NetworkManager service running?[code]service NetworkManager status[/code]

Is nm-applet running?[code]pgrep nm-applet[/code]
