key based authentication for MariaDB 10.3 on centos 6?

Post by cstephens16 » 2018/08/02 17:37:56

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure MariaDB 10.3 on centos 6 to use key based authentication directly into the database? If so, is there any documentation on how to accomplish that?

I suspect you want a Mariadb forum for this as we do not ship it for CentOS 6. It'll be a mariadb/mysql manual you want.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
