Postfix wont restart after kill the process/service - newbie question

Hello!

Ive made a little mistake. I killed the master process/service for postfix.
Now i cant restart the service again.

How can I solve this? And what additional information do you need?

Output from Linux:

[root@kcsweb03 /]# postfix restart
-bash: /usr/sbin/postfix: cannot execute binary file

or:

[root@kcsweb03 /]# service postfix start
Starting postfix: [FAILED]

There is nothing interesting in the logs (maillog, messages, etc)
tested it with sudo too.

did you try after rebooting?
Maybe a process is stuck.

If not try verifying postfix

rpm -vV postfix
