Hello,
I want to monitor processes running in centos 5.5 using SNMP via external SNMP montoring tool (Opmanager). I have installed the required SNMP package in the centos using yum command and the snmp service is running properly.
But when i try to monitor the process, it shows "End of MIB view Object ID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.4.2.1.5 ".
i have also tried using the same using SNMPWALK command in the centos, but same error shows.
Can anyone help me to monitor the same?
Regards

Re: MIB file to monitor processes running in centos 5.5
Yeash, 5.5 is from March 2010. Since yum appears to be working you'll want to do a "yum update" to get that machine to 5.10 Then try your snmp stuff.

Who says you're supposed to stay at 5.5?vallikkv wrote:I supposed to be use in 5.5 Would it be possible?
Re: MIB file to monitor processes running in centos 5.5
CentOS 5.5 is about 3 years old and has numerous unfixed security vulnerabilities. Whoever is telling you to stay on 5.5 needs an education. It's dangerous to do so.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
