Post by kdminhquan » 2015/01/13 06:49:21

Dear all ,
i have an issue about dual boot between win 7 and centos 5.
i have a PC with installed windows 7.
then i install centos 5 netinstall via usb ( using yumi application to make usb boot )
after going into centos installation. i choose dual boot option with Centos (sdc) and the installation is successful. may thuy binh , thuoc do laser
but after restarting and removing usb , my PC only boot into windows 7 with out choosing notice.
i put usb again into Pc and restart PC. it show the boot option but only centos and now i can go into centos.
i search internet and run easyBCD on win 7 but not successful.
anyone can tell me the way to create the boot option when i turn on the PC
thanks so much

You installed grub on the USB stick and not on the hard disk. It's an option during the install.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
