Hi all. I'm quite new in Cent-OS and i would like to know how can i get the download size of available updates without installing them first. Thank you
Re: Finding the download size of available updates
I have split your post away from the topic that you posted to which was over 4 years old and marked as solved. Please don't hijack old threads, start your own.
Just run yum update and part of the output tells you how much it will download.

Code: Select all
# yum update
...
Transaction Summary
============================================================
Install 2 Package(s)
Upgrade 15 Package(s)
Total download size: 79 M
Is this ok [y/N]:
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
