Finding the download size of available updates

Hi all. I'm quite new in Cent-OS and i would like to know how can i get the download size of available updates without installing them first. Thank you

I have split your post away from the topic that you posted to which was over 4 years old and marked as solved. Please don't hijack old threads, start your own.

Just run yum update and part of the output tells you how much it will download.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
